It doesn't matter if you're her son, a guild member, or a visitor to the city state, she does her best to put care into the world. It comes at a cost, more often than not: risk of abuse. Many times has her kindness and trust been used against her, be it for monetary, familial, or other means. No matter how many times it happens, she still stands. Margeaux doesn't let her past stop her, yet she doesn't let it dissolve, either.While the star can be cruel, uncertain, and harsh at times, she thinks having at least one kind soul in one's life makes it worthwhile.
History
Born and raised in the Black Shroud, Margeaux's known the forest for her whole life. Her father was a carpenter and her mother was a botanist, leaving her plenty of projects to aid with growing up. She followed in her mother's footsteps with joining the guild, where she slowly worked her way up from selling plants to researching, learning, and ultimately compiling studies on the Black Shroud's flora.Her parents passed in a carriage accident travelling through the North Shroud just shy of her twentieth nameday. Margeaux became a stalwart member of the Botanist Guild thereafter, practically adopting all of its members as her family.A handful of years later, she met her husband, Anatole, while passing the Rosewood stalls to the guild. They soon married and bought a house in the Shroud, where they raised their only son, Elouan. Margeaux spent the rest of her years as a mother, researcher, and wife, up until recently.Nowadays, Margeaux's still found working at the Botanist Guild, but there's no ring to be had on her finger.

Margeaux's 'little courier', Elouan's been her little treasure since the moment he was born. She's spent plenty of days bringing him to the guild for gardening, volunteering with Gridanian festivities with him, and generally forging a bond that still remains today.
Anatole Sauveterre
Margeaux's ex-husband, one who she met in the stalls years ago. The love of her life that lost himself somewhere early on, she's unsure what to make of him now. One thing's certain: he's not part of her life anymore. For the better's what they say, but is it true?
Olivette Simoneaux
A friend, confidant, and someone who's made Ishgard more than what her ex had, Vette's one of few, few people she calls friends. What started off as asking for directions became a leap of faith, one she'd take again and again for the gentle Ishgardian. For what's a relationship, if not a test of faith?
